• Wreck Claims Life of Motorcyclist: Topeka Police are continuing to investigate an accident at Huntoon & Gage that killed a 66-year-old Topeka man. On Wednesday at about 7:20 a.m. officers were called to Huntoon & Gage reference an injury accident. A car was traveling north on Gage turning left onto Huntoon to go west when it collided with a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was southbound on Gage. The driver of the car, 81-year old Elaine Creech of Topeka, was treated at a local hospital and released. The driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle, 66-year old Melvin Fehrenbacher of Topeka was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. • Motorcycle wreck shuts portion of I-17: A deadly collision early Monday between a motorcycle and a truck shut down a portion of Interstate 17 near downtown Phoenix. Southbound I-17 was closed at the junction with Interstate 10 following the accident, which the Arizona Department of Public Safety said occurred at just after 3:30 a.m.
